The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies EVER!

I just had to share a link to the recipe for the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had! I have been using the old Toll House recipe for years but no matter what I did they always came out with a texture more like cake than cookie. It was disappointing. I have read lots of cookie trouble shooting articles. Yes cookie trouble shooting is a thing hahaha! But to no avail. So I decided to give this recipe a try and Oh My! They are so good...hide the jar I may eat them all good.

Not that I would ever eat a whole jar of cookies ...no way... not me....well ok I may have been known to put a serious dent in a jar but I always share with my hubby. Now that our son had moved away it is up to us to eat all the cookies-  a tough job but someone has to do it. Anyway! Back to the point of this. ...

By the way the cookie jar in the picture is the same one my sister and I used to sneak cookies out of when we were little. The metal lid always gave us away until we mastered the art of turning it just so. O.k. I guess I may have always had a GIANT small cookie problem. But really it is a blessing to me to have had this jar from my childhood hold the cookies I baked for my sweet son all through his life and God willing one day soon I will bake cookies for my future grandbabies and put them in the same jar.~smile~
One more note, the plate in the picture is one that belonged to my much loved Nanny (grandmother). The dishes I received from her have little nail polish marks on the bottoms. She did this so when she took one of her dishes to church she could indentify hers. It was a mark that would not fall off or wash off.  Whenever I turn them over and see that wee mark it makes me smile. Just a glimpse I have into her life.
